- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cocoa
- 3 Tbsp. self-rising flour
- 2 c. evaporated milk, undiluted
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 baked pie shell
Directions

1In pot, combine sugar, cocoa and flour.

2Stir and get out lumps.

3Add milk and cook over low heat.

4Stir as it thickens. When mixture gets very hot, add beaten egg yolks slowly as you stir.

5Continue cooking and stirring until very thick.

6Remove from heat; add margarine and vanilla.

7Pour in pie shell.

8Beat egg whites to make meringue.

9(If using sugar, use only one tablespoon for each egg white.)
