  • 1 -ounce brandy
  • 1 -ounce rum
  • 1/2 -ounce Cointreau
  • 4 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Simple syrup, to taste*
  • Serving suggestion: Garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds or an orange twist

Directions

    Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker using simple syrup to sweeten to taste.

    Shake vigorously with ice.

    Pour into a chilled cocktail glass over ice.

    *Cook's Note: sugar syrup is a solution of equal parts sugar and water that is cooked over low heat until clear, then boiled for about minute.
