- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar (granulated)
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. molasses
Directions

1Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Beat in egg and molasses.

3Sift dry ingredients over creamed mixture and blend well.

4Form into small balls and roll in sugar.

5Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
