- 1 lb. pkg. red beans
- 1 lb. stew beef meat
- 1 lb. beef hot links
- 1 large onion
- 1 serving spoon sugar
- dash of salt
- 4 to 6 c. water
Directions

1Soak red beans in large boiler for 24 hours.

2Pour water off beans after 12 hours.

3Replace with clean water.

4Soak for 12 hours.

5Cut hot links into 1-inch.

6Combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil.

7Cook slow to medium for 4 hours on stove top. Remove boiler from heat.

8Remove stew meat from boiler.

9Separate strings of beef.

10Return beef to boiler.

11Return boiler to heat. Cook for 1 hour or until water has thickened.
