- 1 lb. 2 oz. flour (500 grams)
- 9 oz. powdered sugar (220 grams)
- 3 Tbsp. butter (30 grams)
- 5 eggs
- almonds, peeled (whole or sliced)
- pinch of aniseed
- pinch of salt
Directions

1Butter and flour 2 cookie sheets.

2Preheat oven at 350°. Leave almonds for last.

3Put all other ingredients in a bowl, mix and knead to form a soft dough.

4Add almonds and kneed.

5Divide dough in 4 parts.

6Makes 4 loaves, 1/2-inch high.

7Bake until golden.

8Cool.
