- 800 g potatoes, peeled
- 300 g soft French cheese, such as Camembert, diced
- 1 onion
- 2 tablespoons low-fat creme fraiche
- 200 g lardons (diced bacon) or 200 g smoked sausage
- 100 ml dry white wine
- 15 g butter
- salt & freshly ground black pepper
Directions

1Heat the oven to 200 degrees C (400 degrees F).

2Boil the peeled potatoes in lightly salted water.

3When finished, drain and cut in thick slices.

4Sweat the minced onions until soft.

5Slightly cook the bacon as well.

6Cover the bottom of a buttered gratin dish with slices of potatoes.

7Season with black pepper then with the onions and bacon and one thrid of the cheese.

8Repeat with the potatoes, onions and bacon, then top with the potatoes, creme fraiche and remaining cheese.

9Pour the wine over.

10Put in the oven and bake for about 30 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
