- 1 c. flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 slightly beaten egg
- 1 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Directions

1Melt shortening in heavy skillet.

2Sift dry ingredients into bowl.

3Add the egg and milk; mix well.

4Pour into the same skillet and stir again to mix the shortening with the batter.
