  • 4 cups blackberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 12 teaspoon lemon juice

    Combine blackberries and sugar in a pot over medium heat.

    Bring to a simmer.

    Strain seeds if desired, then return juice to pot, reserving 1 tbsp of juice in a small bowl.

    Add the cornstarch to the reserved juice (make sure the juice has cooled down first).

    Blend completely.

    Add cornstarch mixture to juice; bring to a boil.

    Stir frequently, until jam is thickened, about 15 minutes.

    Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
