  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. canned cream
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts

Directions

    Place all ingredients except vanilla and nuts into large heavy saucepan.

    Cook medium-high stirring constantly until soft ball (238°).

    Remove from heat.

    Add vanilla.

    Cool by stirring until starts to thicken and loses its gloss.

    Add nuts, then quickly spread in buttered dish.

    Makes 1 1/2 pounds.
