  • 2/3 c. cocoa
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 4 1/2 tsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Combine cocoa, sugar and salt.

    Add milk and bring to a boil, stirring often.

    Cook to 232° or until a small amount forms a soft ball in cold water.

    Remove from heat and drop in butter.

    Cool to lukewarm.

    Add vanilla and beat until mixture thickens slightly. Spread on cake.
