- 1 c. water
- 4 egg whites
- 1/4 to 1/3 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 to 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Bring sugar and water to a boil.

2Cook to soft ball (240°) stage.

3Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until very stiff.

4Pour syrup over egg whites, beating well.

5Add vanilla; beat well.

6This needs to be beaten 5 to 7 minutes.
