  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. fine dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 (5 1/2 oz.) pkg. French's au gratin potatoes
  • 1 green pepper, chopped

    Place egg, milk, bread crumbs and salt in a large bowl.

    Stir well.

    Add beef and mix.

    Shape into 16 small meatballs.

    Prepare potatoes by package directions.

    Using a 2-quart casserole, stir in green peppers and about 1/2 of the meatballs.

    Arrange remaining meatballs on top.

    Bake for 35 minutes at 400°.
