  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. bourbon (more if needed)
  • 2 1/2 c. (approximately 5 doz.) vanilla wafers, crushed fine
  • 1 c. nuts (walnuts or pecans), chopped fine

Directions

    Melt chocolate morsels over hot water.

    Remove from heat.

    Stir in sugar and syrup.

    Blend in bourbon.

    Combine nuts and wafers. Add to chocolate mix.

    Shape into balls.

    Roll in powdered or granulated sugar.

    Store in container several days to ripen.
