Braised Pork With Broccoli

Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 lb. pork, cut in 1-inch cubes
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tsp. minced ginger root or 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 3/4 c. soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp. sherry
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 lb. fresh broccoli or 2 pkg. frozen, thawed and chopped
Directions

1Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a deep skillet; brown the pork all over.

2Stir in the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sherry, sugar and water.

3Bring to a boil.

4Cover and cook over low heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

5Heat remaining oil in a saucepan and cook the broccoli over high heat for 4 minutes.

6Drain.

7Arrange on a serving dish and top with the pork.

8Serves 6 to 8.
