  • 15 oz. pkg. Raisin Bran or 40% Bran Flakes
  • 3 c. sugar (or substitute honey)
  • 5 c. flour
  • 5 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • 1 qt. buttermilk
  • 1 c. Crisco oil

Directions

    Mix dry ingredients.

    Add eggs, oil and buttermilk.

    Stir just enough to moisten well.

    Store in covered jars in refrigerator up to 6 weeks.

    Bake when desired for 18 to 20 minutes in 375° oven.
