- 3 c. sugar (or substitute honey)
- 5 c. flour
- 5 tsp. soda
- 2 tsp. salt
- 4 beaten eggs
- 1 qt. buttermilk
- 1 c. Crisco oil
Directions

1Mix dry ingredients.

2Add eggs, oil and buttermilk.

3Stir just enough to moisten well.

4Store in covered jars in refrigerator up to 6 weeks.

5Bake when desired for 18 to 20 minutes in 375° oven.
