  • 3 c. milk
  • 1 (24-inch) loaf day old French bread
  • 1 (1 lb.) can fancy fruit cocktail
  • 1 (29 oz.) can peach halves
  • 2/3 c. raisins
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 c. salted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp. nutmeg (freshly ground)
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • pinch of salt

    Cut the French bread into 1 1/2-inch cubes for 12 cups of cubes.
