  • approximately 1 large loaf stale bread
  • 4 c. milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. real vanilla
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp. rum flavoring
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3/4 c. raisins

    Grease large casserole with butter.

    Soak bread in milk; mix well with hands.

    Beat eggs with sugar, flavorings, raisins and cinnamon (nuts if desired).

    Mix well with bread.

    Cook, uncovered, in oven at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
