- 1/2 lb. shaved ham, cooked, or 1 lb. loose sausage, cooked and drained
- 8 slices bread (crust removed), cubed
- 6 eggs, well beaten
- 3 c. milk
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. dy mustard
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions

1Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan and preheat oven to 325°. Place bread on the bottom of pan.

2Sprinkle on cheese (1/2 amount).

3Add 1/2 of ham or sausage.

4Layer cheese and remainder of meat.

5In a bowl beat eggs; add milk, salt and dry mustard. Pour mixture over cheese.

6Dot with butter.

7Cover and refrigerate overnight.

8Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour in 325° oven.

9Serves 8 to 10.
