Ingredients

  • 1 lb. hot sausage
  • 6 slices white bread, with crust removed
  • 1 1/2 c. shredded cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard

Directions

    Cook and drain sausage.

    Spread each slice of bread with butter.

    Place in buttered casserole size 13 x 9.

    Sprinkle sausage, then cheese.

    Combine eggs, milk, salt and cheese.

    Chill at least 8 hours or overnight.

    Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes. Serves 8, generously.
