- 1 flat end brisket, trimmed of all fat
- 1/4 c. Italian salad dressing
- 1 can or 1 pkg. brown gravy mix
- 1 c. water
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- garlic salt
- 1 small can sliced mushrooms
Directions

1Place brisket in flat pan which is lined with heavy foil. Combine ingredients and pour over brisket.

2Fold foil over and seal tightly.

3Tenderize overnight.

4When ready to cook, bake 45 minutes per pound at 350°.

5(Check meat for doneness; if overdone, it will fall apart.)

6Can cool and refrigerate.

7Slice with electric knife:

8thin for sandwiches, thicker with barbecue sauce. Can use juices for au jus or gravy.
