- 2 cans chicken broth (about 10 3/4 oz. each)
- 4 c. chopped broccoli
- 3 c. milk
- 1 c. light cream or evaporated milk
- salt to taste
- 2 c. shredded Swiss cheese or Cheddar
- 1 c. chopped ham
- 1/2 stick margarine
Directions

1Pour chicken broth into a large saucepan.

2Add chopped broccoli.

3Cook 10 to 15 minutes or until tender.

4Add milk, cream, cheese, ham, margarine and salt.

5Cover and simmer 15 minutes.

6Stir frequently.

7Be careful not to cook on too high a heat, nor too thin a pot.

8Check seasonings, may need black pepper.

9To reheat, it is best to use a double boiler.

10This recipe makes 2 1/2 quarts of chowder.
