Broccoli in Wine

- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 large cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 large bunch broccoli, cut into floret
- 1 1/2 cups Sauvignon Blanc
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Directions

1In a heavy skillet, heat oil.

2Remove from heat and add the finely chopped garlic.

3Stir for 30 seconds, and return skillet to low heat.

4Add the broccoli and toss until broccoli is coated with oil.

5Add the Sauvignon Blanc, and salt and pepper, to taste.

6Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes.

7Cover and simmer 15 minutes.

8Transfer the broccoli to a heated bowl with a slotted spoon.

9Boil the liquid in the skillet over high heat until reduced to 1/2 cup.

10Pour liquid over broccoli and serve.
