Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. whole wheat flour
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1 bunch broccoli
- 1/2 lb. whole wheat ziti noodles
- dash of nutmeg
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 to 3 tomatoes, cut into wedges
Directions

1In heavy skillet, combine oil, butter, onion and garlic and saute for 5 minutes or until garlic is golden.

2Whisk in flour. Then gradually stir in the cream.

3Cook stirring until thickened. Stir in Parmesan cheese and remove from heat.

4Cut broccoli into small pieces and then steam until tender, about 6 minutes.

5Cook ziti according to package directions; drain.

6Combine ziti and broccoli with sauce.

7Toss gently until coated.

8Sprinkle with nutmeg, salt and pepper.

9Garnish with the tomatoes.
