Directions

  1. 1
In a large microwave safe bowl, add water and broccoli and microwave it on high for 5 minutes.
  2. 2
This is going to steam the broccoli and bring out the rich green color.
  3. 3
Drain the water and let the broccoli cool for 10 minutes.
  4. 4
Now add the steamed broccoli, green chilies, coriander, salt, red chili powder and pepper into a large food processor and pulse everything for 2 minutes or until broccoli is mushy and everything is mixed together and smooth.
  5. 5
Add boiled potatoes, semolina, flour and corn flour into the food processor and mix everything together for a minute.
  6. 6
Make 20 round patties (tikkis), place them on a platter and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  7. 7
(This step helps binds the tikkis together.)
  8. 8
Heat a large non-stick pan over medium flame, brush with oil and place 5-6 tikkis at a time into the pan.
  9. 9
Let them cook for 2 minutes then turn to the other side and cook until both sides are cooked and brown in color.
  10. 10
Remove from pan to a plate.
  11. 11
Repeat until all the patties are cooked.
  12. 12
Place the cooked patties on a serving plate and serve hot.
