Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz.) jar creamy peanut butter
  • 2/3 c. butter, softened
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 lb. powdered sugar
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1/8 to 1/4 c. paraffin or cocoa butter
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon (more or less, according to your preference)
  • 2 1/2 c. pecan halves (approximately 3/4 lb.)

    Add water to heavy skillet and immediately add brown sugar also.

    Stir continuously over medium heat.

    Bring mixture to a rapid boil until it reaches the soft ball stage (120° to 238° on a candy thermometer).

    Take off heat.

    Stir in pecans until well coated.

    Sprinkle cinnamon.

    Keep stirring until they cool and dry.
