Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (1/2 c.)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. salad oil
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped spinach
  • 1 lb. spaghetti sauce with mushrooms
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 (7 oz.) pkg. (2 c.) shell macaroni (medium), cooked
  • 4 oz. sharp process American cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 2 well-beaten eggs
  • 1/4 c. salad oil

Directions

    Brown beef, onion and garlic in 1 tablespoon oil.

    Cook spinach and drain, reserving liquid.

    Add water to make 1 cup. Stir liquid, tomato and spaghetti sauces, salt and pepper into meat mixture and simmer 10 minutes.
