- 1 (2 lb.) bag frozen hash brown potatoes
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 1/4 c. chopped onions
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 pt. sour cream
- 10 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
- buttered bread crumbs or seasoned croutons, smashed
Directions

1Thaw potatoes about 45 minutes before assembling.

2Combine potatoes in a large mixing bowl with butter, onions, soup, sour cream and cheese.

3Pour into a 13 x 9 x 2-inch dish.

4Sprinkle top with crumbs.

5Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

6Cover for a while at first.

7Can be made ahead and refrigerated until ready to cook.
