- 3 c. burghul (cracked wheat)
- 1/4 lb. Crisco
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 6 c. broth (chicken, lamb or beef)
- salt and pepper
Directions

1Melt Crisco in a heavy skillet; then add dry burghul.

2Braise well.

3Fry onion in separate pan until golden.

4Mix with burghul; add broth and seasonings.

5Stir well and bake in a 375° oven for 30 minutes.

6Remove from oven; stir well and bake again for 10 minutes.

7Serves 8.
