  • 1 lb. butter (oleo; room temperature)
  • 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.

    Add remaining ingredients and beat until well blended.

    Divide dough into 4 parts and roll each separately in waxed paper.

    Refrigerate or freeze and bake as needed on ungreased cookie sheet at 375°, until edges are brown (or to bake immediately, drop on cookie sheet in balls and flatten with fork).
