- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. chilled stick margarine, cut into small pieces
- 3/4 c. 1% low-fat buttermilk
Directions

1Combine flour and the next 3 ingredients in a bowl.

2Cut in chilled margarine with a pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse meal.

3Add buttermilk; stir until moist.

4Turn dough out onto a heavily floured surface; knead dough 4 or 5 times.

5Roll dough to a 1/2-inch thickness; cut with a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter.

6Place on a baking sheet.

7Bake at 450° for 11 minutes, or until golden.
