Buttermilk Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 (6 oz.) strawberry jello
  • 2 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 (8 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 3/4 c. chopped walnuts

Directions

    In medium saucepan, combine undrained pineapple and strawberry jello.

    Heat and stir until jello is dissolved.

    Cool about 15 minutes.

    Stir in buttermilk.

    Chill until mixture is thickened. Fold in whipped topping and walnuts.

    Turn mixture in 8-cup mold, cover and chill several hours or overnight.

    Unmold onto lettuce lined plate.

    Garnish with fresh strawberries or sliced pineapple.
