  • 1 pkg. yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 c. shortening, softened
  • 2 c. buttermilk
  • 4 to 5 c. self-rising flour
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

    Mix well and set in refrigerator immediately.

    This will keep up to a week in the refrigerator.

    Just pinch off and roll out the amount needed.

    Heat oven to 425° and bake until golden brown.
