  • 12 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 12 cup butter or 12 cup margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 12 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 14 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 34 cup raisins
  • 12 cup nuts, chopped

    Combine boiling water and oats; let stand.

    Melt butterscotch morsels; set aside.

    Combine sugar, brown sugar, and butter; beat well.
