  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. evaporated milk
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Combine sugars, milk and butter in heavy saucepan; cook until soft ball stage, 235° on a candy thermometer.

    Add remaining ingredients.

    Remove from heat; beat until mixture begins to thicken, about 1 minute.

    Pour into buttered 8-inch square pan; cool.

    Cut into serving pieces.
