- 1 (8-inch) baked pie shell
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 c. scalded milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Combine in a heavy saucepan sugar, flour and butter.

2Stir and cook until well blended.

3Add milk.

4Stir.

5Beat 2 egg yolks until light.

6Pour a little of the milk mixture over beaten egg yolks and then combine.

7Stir constantly until thick.

8Cool and flavor with the vanilla.

9Pour into the baked pie shell.

10Cover with meringue (out of the 2 egg whites).

11Bake at 300° for 15 to 20 minutes.
