- 1 (4 lb.) head cabbage, shredded
- 1 c. raw rice
- 1 (15 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 6 slices bacon
- 1 to 3 c. water (2 c.)
Directions

1Spread 1/2 of cabbage in a large buttered casserole.

2Saute bacon strips; drain and set aside.

3Brown onion and uncooked rice.

4Spoon onion/rice over cabbage.

5Brown hamburger; spoon over rice.

6Season to taste.

7Top with remaining cabbage.

8Heat spaghetti sauce and water; pour over cabbage so it seeps in.

9Top with bacon slices.

10Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes, covered, until rice is tender, then uncovered until bacon is crisp.
