Cabbage Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 medium cabbage, chopped
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, grated (save 2 Tbsp.)
- 1 egg
- 1 (16 oz.) can evaporated milk
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 stick margarine (1/4 lb.)
Directions

1Chop the cabbage and onion.

2Cook in boiling water (to cover) until almost tender; drain.

3Grate the cheese and add to cabbage and onion.

4Whip together the egg and evaporated milk.

5Add to cabbage, onion and cheese.

6Add salt and pepper to taste.

7Grease a 2-quart casserole dish with a stick of margarine; save the remainder.

8Pour cabbage mixture into a greased dish; dot top with margarine.

9Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.

10Serves 8.
