- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/2 to 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 6 c. coarse shredded cabbage
- 10 1/2 oz. tomato soup, undiluted
Directions

1Saute onion in 3 tablespoons butter, heating through, not browning.

2Add ground beef, plus 3 teaspoons salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.

3Spread into 2 quart baking dish.

4Spread 3 cups cabbage; cover with meat mixture.

5Top with 3 cups cabbage.

6Spoon over top, 10 1/2 ounce can of condensed tomato soup.

7Bake covered 1 hour in 350° oven.
