  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 to 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 6 c. coarse shredded cabbage
  • 10 1/2 oz. tomato soup, undiluted

Directions

    Saute onion in 3 tablespoons butter, heating through, not browning.

    Add ground beef, plus 3 teaspoons salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.

    Spread into 2 quart baking dish.

    Spread 3 cups cabbage; cover with meat mixture.

    Top with 3 cups cabbage.

    Spoon over top, 10 1/2 ounce can of condensed tomato soup.

    Bake covered 1 hour in 350° oven.
