Cabbage Casserole

- 5 c. chopped cabbage (large pieces)
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1 can water chestnuts
- 1 small onion, chopped
- cornflakes (enough to line large casserole dish and cover top of casserole)
- grated cheese (for top of casserole)
Directions

1Line large casserole dish with crushed cornflakes.

2Put 5 cups cabbage in dish (can cut large).

3In a pan, mix margarine, milk, mayonnaise, water chestnuts and onion.

4Bring to a boil.

5Pour over cabbage.

6Put cheese on top, then cover with enough crushed cornflakes to cover top.

7Cook, covered, at 350° for 45 minutes.
