- 5 c. cabbage, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. Cheddar, grated
- 1 lb. sausage, sliced
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Cook cabbage in boiling, salted water for 10 minutes.

2Drain well and place in casserole.

3Saute onion and bell pepper in butter.

4Add tomatoes with juice, sugar, salt and pepper and simmer for 5 minutes.

5Add sausage and pour mixture over cabbage. Sprinkle cheese on top.

6Bake at 325° for 20 minutes or until cheese melts.
