  • 8 large cabbage leaves
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (12 oz.) can vacuum packed corn, drained
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
  • 1/2 c. (2 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese

    In a large bowl, pour boiling water over cabbage leaves to cover; allow to stand 10 minutes.

    Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine beef, 1 cup Cheddar cheese, corn, onion, salt and pepper just until blended.

    Remove cabbage leaves from water.

    Place about 2/3 cup meat mixture in each leaf; fold in sides and roll lengthwise. Fasten with wooden picks.
