- 12 large cabbage leaves
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 c. uncooked rice
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
Directions

1Scald cabbage in hot water; drain well.

2Mix all ingredients except tomato sauce.

3Form small rolls of beef mixture.

4Place in cabbage leaves; fold ends.

5Roll up and fasten with toothpicks. Place in a buttered casserole dish and pour on tomato sauce. Cover and bake 1 hour in a 350° oven.

6Remove lid 15 minutes before serving.
