- 1 head cabbage
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 egg
- 1 large can tomato juice
- 1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut
- 2 c. water (about)
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Cut cabbage leaves from stalk.

2Place in large pan of boiling water for several minutes to soften; drain.

3Combine meat, rice, onion, egg, salt and pepper; mix well.

4Spoon mixture onto cabbage leaves; roll to enclose filling and fasten with wooden pick. Combine water and tomato juice in large pot.

5Lay rolls in pot; cook for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours on medium heat.

6The last 20 minutes of cooking time, add the sauerkraut.
