- 8 large cabbage leaves
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
- minced onions to taste
- 1/2 c. rice
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 can tomatoes
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. thyme and oregano
- garlic powder to taste
Directions

1Boil cabbage leaves in water to cover in saucepan until tender; drain and set aside.

2Combine the next 7 ingredients in bowl with enough tomato sauce to moisten; mix well.

3Roll meat mixture in cabbage leaves.

4Place in baking dish.

5Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan; simmer for 5 minutes.

6Pour over cabbage rolls.

7Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
