  • 2 tablespoons instant coffee
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 12 cups boiling water
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon water

Directions

    Split the instant coffee granules and vanilla between two coffee mugs (1/2 in each mug).

    In a saucepan, bring the 1 1/2 cups water to a boil.

    In the meantime, in a separate saucepan, dissolve the sugar in the teaspoon of water, heating it until it reaches a low boil.

    Add the boiling water to the brown sugar mixture, and stir well.

    Pour equal halves of the hot sugar mixture into the 2 coffee mugs, and stir gently with a spoon.

    Serve hot.
