Ingredients: 5 oz margarine; 1 cup minus 2tblspoons of cold tea; 2 tbsp brandy; 1/2 cup dark brown sugar; 3/4 lb mixed fruit; 1 dozen glace cherries; 1 tsp mixed spice; 2 cup self raising flour; 2 eggs

1 tsp mixed spice
2 cup self raising flour

place margarine,bra

place margarine, mixed fruit wash cherries and half them place in the pan add the sugar and the liquid

bring to the boil, turn the heat off and add the bi-carb

leave overnight

next day add the flour mixed spice and eggs

stir the mixture and place in a greased and lined loaf tin

place in a preheated oven gas mark 2 on the middle shelf for 2 and 1/2 hours.
