- 2 lb. stew meat
- 1 large onion, diced
- 4 stalks celery
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 lb. carrots
- 6 potatoes
Directions

1Brown meat in bacon grease or bacon.

2Add onions, celery, seasoned salt and pepper.

3Cover with desired amount of water and cook 1 hour.

4Add bay leaves.

5Check to see when meat is tender. Add carrots and cook a bit before adding potatoes.

6Then add potatoes and cook until tender.

7Thicken with flour or cornstarch to make gravy.

8Best when cooked in cast-iron Dutch oven!
