- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 2 eggs (room temperature)
- 1 c. unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 c. melted butter
- 1/4 c. miniature candies (red hots)
Directions

1Grease 12 muffin cups or line with paper liners.

2Preheat oven to 350°.

3In large bowl combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and sugar; set aside.

4In medium bowl lightly beat eggs. Stir in applesauce and butter.

5Stir into flour mixture only until dry ingredients are moist.

6Add cinnamon candies quickly to keep color from spreading.

7Spoon into muffin cups 3/4 full.

8Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
