- 1/4 c. oil
- 1 heaping c. popping corn
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 c. Karo syrup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Pop the corn in oil; set aside.

2Boil for 5 minutes, 1 stick margarine, 1 cup brown sugar, 1/4 cup Karo syrup and 1/2 teaspoon salt.

3Remove from heat after 5 minutes.

4Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda (mixture will become foamy).

5Pour over popcorn in large baking pan.

6Bake at 275° for 1/2 hour.

7Stir every 10 minutes. Pour onto wax paper and cool.

8(Peanuts, pecans or mixed nuts may be added; mix through popcorn before baking.)
