- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1/4 c. mandarin juice
- 3 Tbsp. mandarin peel
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. nut meats
Directions

1In a double boiler, heat evaporated milk.

2In a saucepan, melt 1 cup sugar until it is a rich brown, slowly stir in boiling mandarin juice.

3Add this mixture to the hot milk.

4Stir in 2 cups sugar and salt.

5Cook this syrup slowly to the soft ball state. Stir frequently, add the mandarin peel.

6Cool.

7Beat the mixture until it is creamy.

8Add nut meats.

9Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.

10Makes about 3/4 pound.
